Fighters have rematch clauses against voluntaries. It's the smart thing to do when you're a big A side star. Otherwise they'll rip you off and won't give you a chance to get back what you've worked for. Upsets happen. You don't just let them run off with all the titles without insurances. Being knocked out shouldn't void it. Fighters have come back in the rematch and won. Look at Lewis vs Rahman. But you think that shouldn't have happened? Haha.

Hearn wont do that because that wont get AJ the belts back and the belts are what they NEED. They still likely look at Ruiz as the easier of the big competition. If this goes to court and Ruiz loses, he gets stripped and belts are vacant. Since Hearn is being a giant **** to some of these organizations, AJ will likely be put to fight a Fury, Wilder or Ortiz possibly for one of the vacant titles as opposed to some can. Team AJ doesnt seem to want him anywhere near Wilder and Fury/Ortiz both pose huge threats themselves, so that's too much to risk.

If they are smart, they will not let Ruiz sit out and get stripped, they should work with him to get this fight for AJ and hope he can win ALL his belts back at once. Than they will either go into a massive cherry picking of cans to protect AJ and milk the cow so to speak, or they will cash that cow out and feed him to the Wilderbeast lurking in the shadows in a big (but not as big as it would have been had AJ not lost to Ruiz) unification bout.
