The luck came when Miller tested hot. That's where the crooked dice fell out of Hearns hands. He had to think quick, and thought wrong.

Well he's right that it was the first KD that realistically ended things, AJ never recovered.
What I don't agree with is that it was a lucky punch. Anybody who claims a punch is lucky is dumb. You don't accidentally land a punch.
He's fooling himself if he thinks it was luck, it was a well placed counter after he carelessly tried closing the show.Comment

Of course but the point is Joshua shouldn't have been there to be hit. Maybe he wold have lost anyway but he should never have been that close to Ruiz while he was still liveComment

Yes BUT the reason he landed the hurtful punches is because his style is to counter in fast combinations - not all of them land, but some will. He has very fast hands for heavyweight. I reckon he will do the same again - some will miss, some will get through and do damage. If you actually watch the fight Ruiz landed nothing except for in the rounds he dropped Joshua, 3 and 7.
It was that first shot around the back of the head which screwed AJ up in the 3rd. In round 7 I don't know what the hell happened, it didn't even look like Ruiz threw a hard shot but AJs concussion worsened and he went down twice.
Watching it live I thought Ruiz was very impressive. But watching the replays made me realise he actually wasn't all that. AJ outboxed him for large periods.Comment

There's 'talking with gusto' and then there's flat out delusion. This is definitely the latter. What is he supposed to say? He stayed humble with runny egg on his face and gave Ruiz his dues now the fight has been made surely he is allowed to at least tell his mind that. Frankly I’m happy he is talking with such gusto. For the last 2 months most people thought he wouldn’t even have the confidence to activate a rematch. If he is wrong his words will come back to haunt him yet again. Let the games beginComment
