Yes Kovalev lost in his next fight as he was #1 not mentally sound and #2 under estimated his opponent.
Yet he clearly showed he learned from that mistake weather he had a bad trainer which he switched or something else he showed that he could come back and clearly even out box the younger, faster fighter in damn near every round!!
So how the hell do you get off saying Canelo is cherry picking against technically the top guy at 175 and the fact that Canelo is truly a 160lb fighter!
And to the weight point Canelo has not even been at 160 that long! 3 fights!!

He still had to impose restrictions on Jacobs as we all know so it's another asterisk type fight. I don't think Jacobs would've won regardless of weight restrictions but it makes the last several years not that great, not to mention all the other **** that's happened. Since his "win" against Lara, it's been several joke fights, 2 guys over 35 with 2 highly questionable fights against Golovkin, and Jacobs.

Kov. is the #1 at 175! He beat Ward in many people's eyes 4 fights ago! He did not look bad in either Ward fight and he mentally was not right in the 1st Alveraz fight but showed how good he still was by giving Alveraz a complete boxing beat down in the 2nd fight.

You are right but Canelo vs Smith he wanted to prove he could go grab a title 8n fashion draining himself.

Against Rocky, it was another weight class belt grab.
Who in there right mind only fighting in 2 160lb title fights goes to 168 to fight the best?
Canelo saw Rocky vs Smith and thought it was a winnable fight which it was. A belt grab. But Rocky was a Champ and only lost 1x.
Liam Smith is still a good fighter as well. So don't act like they are total chumps when Yarde has beat nobody and no title. Now if he beats Kov., maybe but his name still is nothing as was the two you mentioned but they served the point I made.

Yeah I don't get it. I know Canelo wants to be a 4-5 division Champ or whatever but he's just constantly jumping through the weight classes seemingly trying to get easy picking fights while leaving behind unfinished business. It's like he has no home.

On another note, I doubt Kovalev beats Yarde but if he did an proves he still has gas in the tank then I don't think Canelo has much of a chance against him at 175. The majority of people don't even think he truly beat GGG.

You say Canelo has doubtful wins against GGG yet others think Canelo one both and I'm one of those as are the Mayweather's and many more.
Canelo at worse deserved the draw in the first fight as watching it live that is how I scored it.
But rewatching it GGG never had control of the rounds that Canelo slowed down as Canelo played GGG on his defense.
I think Canelo beat GGG in the first fight defensively and he clearly beat GGG at his own game in the second!
GGG and his team begged Canelo to stand and trade! Did Canelo not stand and trade? Who was on the back foot all night? Not Canelo!
