Danny Garcia was timing Khan with counter shots from round one. It was only a matter of time before Garcia timed him perfectly which he did, but he had been doing it the whole time. It was Khan's output and blinding handspeed that was overshadowing this. But it was always truly there if you go rewatch.

Yeah but he didnt counter him effectively in the first two yet because like every counterpuncher he needed to get use to khans speed and get the timing down.

Similar with crawford. Gamboa is a quick athletic dude, but always fights recklessly and with his chin up in the air when he lunges in with attacks. Crawford is a fighter who needs a couple of rounds to read his opponent and when he is done with it, he usually doesnt lose rounds.
Im not saying that gamboa didnt do well in the first four, but he certainly didnt have it in the bag after four rounds, even if he had played it safe.
