AJ did land a big right when Ruiz got up but Ruiz ate that **** because he saw it coming.

Ruiz has a great chin (or he was probably juiced to the grilled in that fight) and AJ landed a lot of big shots. AJ just didn't use his uppercut in that fight apart from once when he scored the KD. And AJ's uppercut is his biggest punch and he throws it about 3 times a round in every fight.

I'd like see how Ruiz's chin is going to hold against that uppercut in the rematch because he's going to eat a lot of them since he's a slow pressure fighter with fast hands who doesn't know how to cut off the ring.

I don't think you've ever boxed before. When they say the best form of defence in survival mode is to attack - it's more applicable to boxing. Ruiz was in survival mode and was swinging to make AJ fall back from the full assault. If AJ's second big right had landed on Ruiz, he would've been flattened again. And I don't think he would've survived that tbh.

Just look at how uneventful the 4th rd was - that would tell you Ruiz also just did everything to survive the 3rd rd. If he had all his senses together, he would've continued attacking in the 4th rd but he didn't. He also didn't go into full attack mode in the 5th rd and AJ won that rd. He only started attacking again in the 6th rd.

People cope with losses different ways so this is a non issue in my eyes.

I do believe that this is still potentially a hard fight for both guys. People seem to forget that Ruiz was dropped very hard before he started putting the beat down on Joshua.

Maybe Joshua has learned his lesson, maybe he hasn't and maybe Ruiz has the right game plan and style, maybe he doesn't. One thing is absolutely certain though and that is that both of them can hurt each other as witnessed in the first fight.
