16 weeks and change to be more exact. Seems like a tight building schedule to me.

But my main question is how often has this happened in the past & less about breaking Eddie's balls on this whole situation.

Feel like they constructed some bs ass stadium for some Dempsey or Johnson HW fight waaaaay back in the day.

And I feel like one of Ali's fights had a situation like this, but maybe not.

And of course there is the often talked about Vegas stadium that Arum was talking about but the thing with that is that never actually came to pass so that doesn't even count.

When has this actually went down successfully.

Thats what I think I'm looking at. I see stadiums from 2800 to 67k. No clue what you are talking about.

I see NO stadiums that big, 12k capacity, in Diriyah on the page I linked. Name the stadium or stadiums you see in Diriyah.

Ceasars Palace used to erect temporary stadiums.

Here's some I found on BoxRec by searching for the word temporary. There look to be a lot more.

How common is this for fights that actually happened and when was the last time you are aware this happened?

And bonus question how long does it take to build such a venue or are these mfers just gonna prop up some bleachers on a sand dune?
Its happening for a UFC fight.

                  Interesting. Had no clue.

So the building of a stadium like this seems like a fairly whatever-ish type thing based on Pigeons post with all those 80s fights and this post despite an air of sketchiness with this whole deal. I feel like the Saudi Arabia angle makes it feel even a lil more sketchy than it otherwise might.

I think theyll be going for some sort of picturesque sitting. Check out photos of Diriyah, its an ancient town. Put some temporary stands in there. Be a hell of a backdrop, all lit up and ****.

                      Nice info. Thanks.

Seems like this was less of a thing in the 80's & maybe more recently too idk.

Interesting to read that Ali vs Holmes was being talked about happening in Brazil in some 165k seat stadium.
