Davis is the best range cutter in boxing right now. He mostly nullifies reach either by hard body shots with both hands coming forward, or by leaping in with body and head movement, ala Sweet Pea (God bless him.).

Nunez looked like a tall, strong welter, like Nakatani, and his reach wasn't an issue. Davis didn't even get out of first gear vs Nunez.
