Seems they are just trying to show that everything is in place and there will be no negotiation with Ruiz or Haymon. They know Uncle Al will try and play hardball and they are just trying to shut that down.

I think it might have been a fake presser. Just Eddie kicking off the prefight drama by giving Andy something to react to, which he did.

A fake presser isn't possible and would be a fraudulent act on the sanctioning bodies. A contract with terms and signatures is required to have an official press conference which was provided to the IBF with signatures which were valid ,obviously they had this little presser.
