Fairy tale of the highest order. Non the less, the SA guys are investing heavily on this, am also of the opinion that Eddie should be flexible and give the champ a couple of Mil. He has work very hard to get to this position, something Ortiz was afraid to do. He probably would have been the guy making his first couple Mil.
Be that as it may, the champ doesn't have a choice but to fly to SA.
    No debate.

You do realise Joshua isn't Ruiz's mandatory, this isn't a fight ordered by a sanctioning body right, surely you do understand that?

Sanctioning bodies don't set split percentages on voluntaries, they aren't ordering the fight so they have no say in what each fighter gets paid, if fighters agree to splits or flat fees thats on them.

An unconscionable contract has a specific legal meaning, just because you don't think its fair that doesn't make it unconscionable or actionable in a legal sense. Now if Hearn literally held a gun to Ruiz head and said sign the contract it would be different.

You take a contract for a boxing match where Ruiz was paid $5M (20 times his previous highest pay day) with a rematch clause to for $9M to any judge in the world and claim its unconscionable because of the amounts of money and you will be laughed out of court 10 times out of 10.

Ruiz has advisers & management, he signed the contract knowing full well the conditions, he went from rags to riches and a HW champion, I don't understand why people are so upset with this.

But yeah, at least understand the difference between mandated and voluntaries for a start.

If it's in SA at least I'll steam it and watch... it's the least I can do... literally.
