Floyd s got great ability but he didn't give enough of himself to be the greatest.
He gave it all in training in gym. But didn't leave it all in the ring. Far too cautious

The further away you get from Floyd's fights the greater his opponents get. A one dimensional brawler like Maidana becomes an A level fighter and a blown up featherweight like Guerero becomes a solid WW.
Floyd was the best of a mediocre era. It's not his fault but he don't get credit for it either.
