Also, if losses count and unbeaten records and head to head is the be all end all why isn’t Calzaghe on? He beat Hopkins and Jones have have like 8-9 losses each plus losses against him and he was 46-0 with no controversial decisions. He also defeated more “champions” than many fighters on that list. Now it’s not MY view that Calzaghe is a top all-time fighter like that but it’s very similar to a fan base who values all those things above everything. It’s hypocrtical.

How a top 10 could fail to include Ezzard Charles, Sam Langford, Benny Leonard, Harry Greb, Henry Armstrong but have fishnets in it is lol and should immediately invalidate it. Monzon above Greb, Walker, Robinson? Greb’s 1919 alone > most resumes in history.

No Willie Pep, Eder Jofre, Joe Gans? I’m a big Patterson fan too but would he even rank #14 all-time at Heavyweight? Probably not. Robinson, Ali, Louis, Leonard, Moore, Duran, Greb belong. The rest? Not quite.
Your list is weak, matter of fact you weak Marquez is BETTER than Manny, always has been.

Legends were making money lol he earned 4M in the ring and that doesn’t include the few million he earned through entertainment. That 4M would be worth around 35-40M today. He had money he just lived an extravagant lifestyle. He lived in Manhattan and LA.
You guys are so biased towards the older generation that you’re unfair to the newer generation. Old doesn’t always mean better. Both fighters were so good that you can argue the number one spot for both but don’t act like Floyd doesn’t belong in the conversation just because he wasn’t ****** enough to fight 4 times a week.
        LMMFAO!

Pac s best of era. Floyd was probably shocked when he saw himself no1 on boxrec, thinking Pac s greater. Thinking too himself my propaganda worked, being outspoken worked.

But everything I say is true. Pac s did what no fighter in history has done yet it's Floyd who keeps popping up? It's like it's April fools day and someone's trying to wind everyone up!

Sugar Ray and Greb are low. Manny and Floyd too high.

De La Hoya on the list? No Armstrong or Langford on the list?

Not true. Manny is light years below T.B.E. Manny still fighting now trying to catch up, its like when Barry Sanders retired early from breaking Walter Payton's rushing record then emmit smith kept running to catch up to Barry Sanders then Walter Payton Barry would of had over 20,000yds rushing if he didn't retire early. Difference here is that Manny will never catch up to T.B.E.

Plenty of fighters have done what BOTH fighters have done. Pacquaio isn't the only fighter to consistently beat bigger fighters. Bare in mind there's more "world titles" these days and more weight divisions but guys like Sam Langford, Harry Greb, Charley Burley, Mickey Walker gave up more weight and whipped better fighters. Just look at Greb's 45-0 in 1919. He's a middleweight and I believe he beat six hall of famers for more than 10 victories and beat ranked heavyweights who had tons of size on him.

The same way Floyd isn't the only "undefeated" fighter. There's been fighters that had more fights and are unbeaten and in the hall of fame like Ricardo Lopez (52 fights) or Jimmy Barry (68 fights) and of course, Marciano, Calzaghe and that Thai guy who's like 54-0 currently. Jimmy Wilde was unbeaten in over 100 fights (at least) before he lost a fight (which he avenged) and he did this all whilst weighing under 100 lbs when the smallest division was 112 and he fought many fights at 118 and above.

I've found a lot of casuals that know least about history are the most adamant and it's always their guy that's the best (what a coincidence). It was that way with Ali fans, then Tyson, then Jones, now Pacquaio and Mayweather.

I consider Pacquaio to be the "greatest" of his era, say 1994 until today but he probably wasn't the "best" boxer during that time. But all-time? I think if you're placing him 30-40 all-time you're giving him a lot of credit and I find it funny how fanboys cry when you don't have their idol #1. Mayweather fans are the worst for that IMO and of all the fan bases I've encountered probably the one's who've done the least amount of research/know the least. The type of fans who looked at a pound for pound list AFTER he'd already started winning titles and were like "Yep, that's my guy" and pretty much don't care about anything/anyone else. They rode Roy Jones until he lost. Pacquaio fans push them though because in general they are a one of the worst fanbases of all-time.
