Ukraine's Oleksandr Gvozdyk (17-0, 14 KOs) and Russia's Artur Beterbiev (14-0, 14 KOs) in October, Roc Nation Sports boxer Meng Fanlong (15-0, 9 KOs) is looking forward to a timely fight versus the winner of that bout as Fanlong became the #1 mandatory challenger for the title when he beat Adam Deines (17-1, 8 KOs) on June 1.

Was really upset to hear about the trash matchup Gvozdyk vs Beterbiev taking place, but now that I know the winner could fight this guy, I guess there's a real reward in having that matchup take place after all, but only if the WBC makes it official by putting a "winner fights Fanlong" belt on the line.

Only fight I saw him in was his stoppage Frank Buglioni when Frank came up in weight. He looked decent in that one, seemed tough and rugged. I'm not sure he can compete with the like of Beterbiev and Gvozdyk but I like his confidence.

I dont know anything about the Russian but why do you feel its a trash match-up? Untested and mostly fought in Canada?

The winner will probably face Kov or Bivol.
