Judges prefer fighters boxing/fighting till the very end.

IIRC, Marquez mostly chilled in the final two rounds of the fight.

Fights are meant to be scored round by round, but taking the last two rounds off against a superstar and 2nd biggest draw in boxing at the time wasn't a wise decision. Every fight is a story and the most recent rounds leave the last impression. These two rounds were a major opportunity for Marquez to punctuate the story he wrote that night.

Trainers across the world teach their fighters it's not how you start the round but how you finish the round & it's not how you start the fight but how you finish the fight.

Cruising in rounds 11 & 12 clearly wasn't a smart choice but Marquez did it anyways. Was his gas tank running low?

Im not the biggest Pac fan in the world, but I thought he won 3rd fight matter a fact I agree with scoring in all the 1st 3. Most guys don't really score and since it was their 3rd close fight in a row and Pac did not score KD they think Marquez won. Punch stats are not the end all be all, but its one way to decide fight. The 3rd fight was the 1st that Pac landed more punches and more power punches. I thought he just shaded it. Im not sure he was tired, but in 4th fight he looked gassed(broken nose did not help) and almost finished before KO.
