What happened at Barclays against Ortiz was not Wilder's fault. It was the doctor's fault. At the beginning of the eighth round the doctors never left the ring post. So the referee was forced to call a 17 second halt to the action while the doctors checked Wilder out.

You guys are so pathetic and a bunch of hypocrites! You want to have it both ways. First, you say that Ortiz was a 60 year old man on blood pressure medicines, then you said that he was gassed out from failing to put Deontay away in the seventh and now you all are claiming that Wilder won because he was given an extra 17 seconds.

Here is a lesson for the naive and ignorant. The rule is applied on a case by case basis, in other words when necessary. like I have mentioned earlier Arreola was afforded a few extra seconds after one of the rounds in the Kownacki fight. There was no conspiracy or favoritism. The determination must have been made because of an accumulation of punishment not to give Arreola some type of edge or advantage.
