Ironic that the Cuban government removed Ramirez’s Olympic tattoo. Right now Bob Arum is trying to figure out how to remove Robisey’s name from the Top Rank contract.

With his skill set he should have dominated the rest of the fight after that KD. He didn’t.

Definitely, he just wasn't focused. He's had discipline issues outside of the ring apparently in the past, and it showed last night. That doesn't slide in the pros.

Probably more concerned about his haircut than actually training.

personally, I thought he looked a little soft TBH. I expected him to debut at Bantam or Super Bantam. Very rarely do amateurs make their debut at a HIGHER weight.

It’s crazy. I’d never heard of either fighter before, but I will give credit to the opponent because he looked like a real fighter with a bad record. I know a two time Olympic gold medalist is supposed to be matched a bit tougher than your average debuting fighter, but this guy seemed tough. 8 fights. Match maker assigned the guy more than he could handle. This isn’t the worst loss in the world.

Good points. Gonzalez didn’t seem like your usual pushover debut opponent. However, Ramirez should’ve been able to handle him. For someone else, this debut loss against such an opponent wouldn’t be such a big deal, but for a two-time Olympic gold medalist, it’s not a good look at all. I’m curious to see how Robeisy reacts to this. Now he’s under more pressure than ever to perform.

Ramirez just lost to a hand picked fighter With a record of 4-2-2 and who has only had two fights scheduled for more than four rounds.

                    It isn’t remotely the same.
I was being obtuse. And it would have been Loma's first fight if he'd had his way.

Seriously though anyone can lose a 4 round fight. Fighters can just whale punches the whole time. A 4 round fight isn't really boxing. If your opponent gets a knockdown you are in big trouble trying to catch up.

4 rounders are a ***** like that, which is why I've been saying it's not that he lost, but how he lost. He looked disinterested and lazy the whole time, then shocked that he lost. He suffered a flash knockdown in the first round, yes. But then at no point after that did he dominate like he was expected to.
