Good points. I was waiting for this day for a long time. Disappointment isn’t the word. This shit is surreal.
When he dropped I was like "****ing KIDDING ME?!?" I've been saying for years you can't judge an Amateur until his chin gets tested in his first pro fight (pros punch to hurt, wear smaller gloves, etc.) and the one time I go against my own rule and rate this kid highly, and he's dropped on the first damn punch!!
Cubans just don't transition well in the pros in U.S. Robeisy was undisciplined and showed up many times out of shape while in Cuba where discipline is at its highest. I can only imagine what he does in U.S or Mexico, wherever he resides now. And although Robeisy is still young, what is he? 23 or 24 years old? He's got a lot of mileage and when you listen to him speak he sounds almost punch drunk. I know he used to drink a lot in Cuba. So just to resume this, he's an exceptional talent with exceptional skills, but his dedications, conditioning and discipline was a problem in Cuba but b/c the training staff there doesn't accept non-conformity he had to be in tip top shape for the most part. You can have all the skills and talent in the world, however, if you don't have conditioning it doesn't matter. There is a video of young Floyd Mayweather quitting against Paul Spadafora after 5 rounds cause he wasn't in shape.

Robeisy have a great chin he wasn't even hurt, not even a little, he took better punches later and didn't even flinch. He was out of balance and his glove touch the canvas. In the amateur that wouldn't even count as a knockdown.
Robeisy style is better suited for a actual PRO fight, no a 4 rounder amateur style.
He was timing the opponent as the fight progressed Adan wouldn't last in a longer fight. Even when he was force to change his strategy because the early knockdown in a short fight he still end up with more body punches landed, more jabs landed and more power punches landed. And was timing Adam face an body in that 4 rounder. 2 more rounds and the guy is gone.
too bad for the haters he will fight again and prove you wrong.
I have no words for this. I expected Robeisy to have an excellent pro career. Losing to a handpicked 4-2-2 fighter in your pro debut is surreal. I don’t see how anyone could bounce back from this. Career over before it began. Wow, wow, wow...
I frankly don't get why people are so stunned. Plenty of quality fighters lose their debut fight, it happens. Rungvisai lost his - look at him now.

Cuban don't transition well?
There is a very limited amount of Cuban Amateur that turned pro and the vast majority of the medalist have won belts and many have been on the top of the P4P rankings.
There is thousands of thousands of Pro fighter which 99% are garbage. This actually the only Cuban medalist that have fail early and was in a short as fight where he landed more punches.
Robeisy style is actually better suited to the Pro because he like to engage and is not afraid of getting hit, he many times have to be controlled because he get to happy in brawls.
Actually Adan just stole a win in the pro short as fight. 4 rounder split decision while being out punched in the fight thanks to a rule that give a 10-8 for a out balance land shot that didn't even stoned the opponent.
Who has Stevenson have beating in the pros. 12 fights and still fighting cap drivers while being drop from the WBA ranking for not wanting to get join VADA.
Until Stevenson beat Robeisy in the Pros, Robeisy still his daddy

Stevenson hasn't lost to and got dropped by a handpicked opponent who cant punch. Stevenson fighting for a title next while this guys handlers are debating whether he should fight an immediate rematch crossroads fight against a guy who was brought in to lose.
