Yeah could've gone either way imo

Just because the pace was a little bit slower doesn't mean that Marquez won the fight. He actually got outlanded in alot of the rounds as I remember

I agree about the exaggerated robbery claims. It was a close fight, the first 3 all were.

Out of their first three fights, it was definitely the fight Marquez had the strongest claim of winning. When I watched it, I had Marquez winning clearly and I was pissed off that he was robbed even though Pacquiao is my favorite boxer.

The second time I watched it (years later), it was a bit closer than I remembered and I forgot how much better Manny fought in the second half of the fight, but still had Marquez winning clearly in a close fight, but didn't think it was a robbery.

I might rewatch the fight later today.

I thought Marquez won, but it was a very close fight.

I rewatched that fight precisely because many said Marquez was robbed. Close fight that I thought Pacquiao won.

I agree. I thought all the first three fights were close and could have gone to either man without being robberies.

Of course it matters. Each fight is different and the 4th fight does not change the other fights. Marquez turned down huge money for a 5th fight because he wanted to leave that KO win as the final fight. He was not confident he could beat Pacquiao again. I am sure Pac would have won a 5th fight because old age was catching up with Marquez. The both fought Bradley after the 4th fight and Pac easily beat Bradley while Marquez lost by a large amount.

Which is kinda ironic in a sense since if he didn't KO him he was gonna be KO'd himself the next round so it would have been the best win of 4 fights for Pac too.
