Non-champion heavyweights who would win the title today

There’s so many potential names from the one-belt era that I’m going to focus on the three-belt era. But I’m open to any names you want to throw in.

Here’s my running list of heavyweights who never won a title that I think would be champion today (I don’t count the WBO as a title until the Klitschko era):

    Andrew Golata

    David Tua

    Ike Ibeabuchi

    Ray Mercer

    Larry Donald

    Vaughn Bean

    Kirk Johnson

    JaMeel McCline

    Frans Botha

    Henry Akinwande

    Tommy Morrison

    Fres Oquendo

    Donovan Ruddock

    Who would you add???

If WBO don’t count that means Oscar is only 5 divisions champ.

Not sure everyone on your list could do it but I'd give Corrie Sanders a shot.

I counted him as a champ but you’re actually right because I don’t think the WBO was a real belt in 2003.

The whole non-champion thing made it tough. I almost put Chris Byrd on the list forgetting Lewis vacated the IBF. A few guys like Greg Page, Tim Witherspoon, Shannon Briggs, Oliver McCall, Hasim Rahman also came to my mind but then I remembered they were champions lol.

I’m sure he won it when the wbo became a bigger title.

I was basically explaining Ray Mercer and Tommy Morrison who held that title but definitely weren’t a heavyweight champion at the time they held it.

He won it in 94 it wasn't needed to be considered undisputed til 04 with the Hopkins fight. They’re is a lot of gray area with that title.
