See the shorter guy to my left in my sig, he was invited to UFC 1 as the Muay Thai champion he was replaced by Gerard ( forgot his last name ) French guy bc there was no insurance and you had to win just to get 1000 a fight in the tournament he decided against it. Still has the original UFC contract , was pretty cool. .

Leonard-Hagler was literally billed as “the super fight”.

        TS,
the original "super fight" was ali - marciano in an exhibition / acting out a computer simulation. it ran in theaters like a movie would. it was shot in 1969 and it came out in 1970. marciano lost about 50 lbs to shoot the rounds. ali needed a way to make money while his license was suspended for refusing to enter into the draft.
That guy’s a casual for sure. How could he not have been aware of the Ali-Marciano exhibition or SRL-Hagler.😂😂

Someone already informed the TS where it originated has nothing to do with my post , the thread is about using the term super fight and it's been around a bit with different fights and the one I brought up was actually created a belt for the term in combat sports , you re.tard.

Unfortunately I moved and no longer train with him, we had a good little Mua y Thai / MMA thing going awhile back , the video you saw awhile ago was actually his gym , those huge Maui Thai bags were great for developing punching power in that set up.

I would say mid seventies onwards.....Leonard vs hagler was actually billed as the superfight.
I would say Ali vs foreman , Ali vs Frazier , Leonard vs hearns hagler vs hearns Leonard vs hagler Mayweather vs Pacquiao are my superfights
