hat fight will never happen. If Canelo meant to fight a top fighter like Benavidez at 168 he would have fought Callum Smith instead of Fielding who Smith KOed in 2 rounds before Canelo fought Fielding.

wbc franchise is like wba super. same thing. they made wba super for floyd. they made wbc francshise for canelo. now wba made interim champs for the al haymon guys who cant beat the regular champ. gervonta davis and charlo are fake champs.

What if Kovalev just outclasses him and wins most rounds and maybe knocks him out just because he is better and not because the fight was in his country? It's not like Kovalev has not defeated very good light heavyweights many times.

I hadnt heard any limits put on the weight/rehydration. Kathy Duva only said the initial issue was the money but then they negotiated to the amount that made the fight realistic. I hope Canelo doesnt go through b.s like he did with Jacobs... yet jacobs was a middleweight, wouldnt be suprised if they try it. Kov should tell them '175 or no fight'... at this point it does seem canelo needs Kov more then other way round.

So instead of facing a young undefeated champion like andrade who is in his weight class, who was approved by dazn, he wants to wait for 36 yr old Kovalev who has lost 3 of his last 6? He also wants to face Kovalev on a quick turnaround from what could potentially be a tough fight for him with Yarde. This is likely an attempt for him to pretend that he's a 4 division champion, meanwhile, 168 is stacked with real champions that he's looking right past for Kovalev.

Against a complete nobody who hasnt boxed anyone in the top 20 maybe even top 30, had only 12 amateur bouts and hasnt shown anything special in his boxing ability to say he can cause Kovalev any problems.
