Comments Thread For: The Endless Comeback of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

The fact that this guy has had as lucrative a career as he's had is just another sad indictment of the state of this sport. Nothing rivals the way the WBC and HBO conspired to steal Sergio Martinez's belt and basically hand it on a plate to this guy.

50 wins and only 3 loses as a pro yet the casuals still disparage him

Hope he finally gets put to sleep so he does not have the thought of coming back again.

Buuuuuummmm. Fingers crossed JCC gets knocked the f**k out. What a waste of a name and significant talent, shame. I'd say Sr would've rathered having jr kidnapped than his watch stolen

Most of those wins came through being a weight bully and clever early matchmaking. Still I don't hold that against him, what I can't abide is his lazyness, particularly since he's had so many opportunities handed to him because his father is a legend. If JCC wasn't Mexican he would've been forgotten and lying on the scrapheap years ago.

I laughed at the line, “Julio Cesar Smith wouldn’t be getting the same opportunities.”
