as somebody else mentioned, they were called the four kings because they all fought each other between ww and MW.

in addition you're forgetting wilfred benitez, who held a win over duran, went 15 with hearns in a close fight, and who went 15 with leonard before getting stopped.

the best resumes of the era are floyd, pacquiao, hopkins, and wladimir klitschko. yeah, klitschko feels like a weird add, right? but look at the decade because that's what's important. he was the HW champion of the world for most of it. either holding an alphabet title or the real, bonafide championship for almost the decade. that, in that division, is very nuts.

plus or minus WW. The OG 4 Kings fought in and around the same weight classes......for the most part

Well if you keep it at that I would say Cotto has a case, but he only beat Shane and lost to floyd and manny and people want to include Oscar but he didnt beat manny, floyd or shane..so why include him?

honestly there were no 4 kings just 1 and that was Mayweather as he beat all and lost to none..so the 4 kings thing doesnt hold weight here

Even past prime Marquez was great.

The greatest fighters from 2000-2010 were Pacquaio, Hopkins, Mayweather, Marquez and Calzaghe.

I was thinking Wlad myself but Vitali did pretty good before 2010 himself.

If by 2000s they mean including the teens then yeah, Wlad, but, if they mean from 2000-2010 then I think K2 shares that role. Because sometimes Vitali was more the man then Wlad and then other time Wlad was more the man. I mean, Wlad got that WBO and then Vitali did beat the **** outta the guy who took Wlad's WBO and got him a WBC while Wlad was getting KO'd again. Then Vitali reitred and Wlad was the defacto guy but when he came back the Wlad boys and Vitali fans kinda argued basically until Vitali retired again.

i gotta check the records I reckon, but, even if Wlad was the guy most of the decade I think Vitali earned the dispute at least.

K2 was champions in the 2000s, that's all i really mean to say.
