I think Kobe was big time overrated so I actually agree with Max on this one...not really a huge fan of Max though, he is a bit of a shill imo...I just think a lot of guys could have put up similar numbers as Kobe did, with similar team success, if they got to shoot 30 times a game every game, and got to play with an ATG coach and always a great front court/team.

Kobe was a tough smart competitor though, I will give him that for sure...but yeah I think he hit the lotto in a way with how his career worked out...you put Penny Hardaway etc there in LA and I think he has similar success and numbers.

True...but not in LA...and Penny and Shaq had really good success in Orlando as well...and that was only Shaq's 2nd-4th seasons...3 seasons together and a 4th 1st and 2nd seed in the playoffs...losing on two occasions to the Bulls with MJ and the Rockets with Hakeem.

He was obviously close to winning it with Penny...and then Shaq went to a better LA team with a better coach and won 3 straight

Just my opinion that if Chris Paul, Harden, Westbrook, etc were on those LA teams they have basically the same if not better success.
