Lol penny hardaway...never seen anyone say that those Orlando teams had better talent than those LA teams...especially when you factor in coaching/organization etc.
Yeah Penny was with Shaq...as I mentioned above they had really good success in Orlando in the 3 years they were there...then Shaq imo went to a better organization, better coach, and better surrounding players and took his team to 3 ships from 00-02...Kobe helped but he was definitely the sidekick then, and on a great team apart from just Shaq.
When it was just Kobe...the Lakers struggled to make the playoffs...when Kobe had Shaq or the best front court in the league, they were title contenders...I think that says it all
According to these stats, Kobe never won a title where he was the best player on the team:

The conversation is about the all-decade team of the 2010’s.
Kobe Bryant stopped being good in 2013.
So I don’t get what the big deal is.

Kobe was a tough smart competitor though, I will give him that for sure...but yeah I think he hit the lotto in a way with how his career worked out...you put Penny Hardaway etc there in LA and I think he has similar success and numbers.
