Ritz Bitz signed with Haymon cuz he knew the melanin man from Harvard is self made and has made others self made without digging into their pockets or doing shady deals behind their backs!

Great choice, his pops must be a big Mayweather fan or the son!

Boxing is traditionally a sport for the poor, no matter the color. A white middle class make choosing boxing shows how much the sport is growing.

What pigeons said is the same thing Don King, Ali, Arum, have all said and what anybody in boxing will tell you.

Nothing racist at all in their remarks.
      Racist people see racism everywhere......

By the way, loved that the kid laid out his reasons for going with PBC......exposure. PBC has fox and showtime behind it, it’s fighters can become stars....it’s on cable, basic cable, and free tv....it’s ppvs are everywhere and promoted well. He knows he will get the most exposure with PBC rather than ESPN+ and dazn, neither of which the casual fan or sports fan has any interest in

Won’t last. It’ll be sold by the time he fights his 10th fight.

Great talent and the kid made the smart decision signing with Al Haymon. PBC has the largest stable of WW's across the board with the biggest names..

Stay ready so you don't have to get ready.

Jermell, Harrison, Williams, Hurd, Lubin, Lara, and Castano, are generally the current crop at 154lbs, but folks will move up/get knocked off, fall out of boxing, etc. Having the stash ready, so that 2-4 years down the line, you've got fresh fighters for world level at 154/160, is definitely a sharp move

Btw, I posted the commission report for Ryan Garcia's fight at the Stub Center from last year where he fought Velez. The gate was 155k, but I know Coppinger said GBP had $1 million in revenue for his fight in March...I also requested the commission report for that card. But to get to the $1 million revenue number, he would have had to done much better at the gate than 155k. Either GBP got good advertising dollars or something, but hard to see to be honest. But let's wait to see what they did at the gate first.
Golden Boy allegedly got $90m from DAZN to deliver 50 non-Canelo shows.

Split that evenly and you've got $1.8m as the TV budget per show (doubt that it's actually split evenly, but we're just talking here so whatever).

Between the tickets, DAZN's TV allotment, the sponsors, international TV, etc, Golden Boy is expensing off a pie likely over $2m if the assumptions are true.

Rent the venue, stage the event, marketing, cost of TV production, etc, the pie left after paying the guaranteed purses is still ok, most likely

the allure is that he's white
boxing is healthy when you start seeing good young white american prospects returning to the sport
both of those comments have racist undertones.... no one cares if hes white/black/green/purple

hes a boxing prospect from the usa leave it at that.

this is the end of this convo here.
