One little detail...in his prime 28 y.o. Canelo couldn't convincingly beat past his prime 36 y.o. GGG. 36, dummy. It's called age in boxing and still nobody has managed to dominate him. That should tell you who GGG was in his prime. So yeah prime GGG vs prime Hagler would have been a 50/50 fight of very close to it.
Hagler was great and if you tried to go to war with him, well not even Mugabe or Hearns could put a dent in him.
But if you could box/move and take a punch, Hagler struggled in a way because he wouldn't box his way in...he would just put his head down and try and bounce his way in, taking your shots to give his...if you were still there to be hit then yeah not even Hearns and Mugabe or anyone else he fought could bother him.
With Hagler showing vulnerabilities against less than elite competition (SRL and Duran obviously elite, but not really their best weights/prime either), to say that GGG would have no chance is a strange look imo...not to mention that you were the one apparently who keeps bringing up that discussion out of nowhere lol...apparently just looking for an argument lol.
Just enjoy the sport man...not everything has to be 'us vs them'...there are a lot of great fighters all around and to spend so much time arbitrarily hating guys is not a good look imo and must not be very healthy for ya...Comment

Not to mention that Hagler lost to Monroe...Watts...went 15 hard close rounds with a smaller old Duran...was schooled by a smaller SRL.

For some reason every time I speak to you I always have that little hope that there is a reason lurking somewhere there under your skull...I have to say I'm always left disappointed.
I guess your blatant disregard for argument, blind hateful bias and denial of objective reality doesn't help either
I might even concede that Hagler would be a favorite in this imaginary fight with GGG, but by a very thin margin meaning that 50/50 is still a justifiable statement.Comment

funny shlt, that a proven great " might " be favored over a largely-unproven hypejob who does not have a career-defining win

A lot of times that hype is more or less warranted...sometimes those guys are overhyped and get exposed..or are overhyped and get hometown favoritism...just try to call it like I see it and score fights based on what I see in the ring and not on whose trunks look better or where a guy is from.Comment
