If the discussion is about Furys upcoming opponent. Why cant we all agree that its a joke?

So by your logic since Fury beat Wilder "unofficially" it gives him a pass to fight bums?

So since GGG "unofficially" beat Canelo he shud get same pass?
Not sure what you’re reading into a fairly simple post

I literally said it was a joke opponent in the first sentence

I’m not sure why anyone would need any more than that?

Wilder hasn’t fought an opponent of this caliber in a very long time, and definitely not since becoming champion. If Wilder, Joshua, or anyone in the top ten picked Wallin as an opponent while claiming that they’re the best on the planet, they’d get blasted out and rightfully so.

You can pick apart a couple of wilders weak defenses, but in all honesty Fury should have went after one of them. Fury should have gone after a Gerald Washington, Artur Szpilka, Johann Duhaupas. Give them a common opponent. And those are better opponents than Otto wallin who was signed up for a 50/50 fight with a 42 year old BJ Flores.

          Otto Wallin?!?!

Beginning to lose respect for Fury!
After that momentum he built in his fight against Deontay ( i had Fury winning) this is what he has now become.

          Otto Wallin?!?!

Any fan who defends/justifies this kind of $cam needs to have his head examined.

And yes Deontay ( like him or hate him) is right in calling Fury a JOKE.

          Otto ******** Wallin?!?!

They probably found him in the same stable Dave Haye used to get his opponents from.

Fury doing an excellent job of making himself look like a JOKE.

I posted this the other day, but ill post it again.

"Unfortunately Tyson has done this throughout his career, but its a strategic move for rankings. Fury isn't ranked with the WBA, hence why they were trying for Trevor Bryan. That obv didn't workout for unknown reasons whether they offered and he refused who knows.
Next on the list is Usyk which isn't going to happen then AJ, so the highest ranked they could get was Wallin at 4th.

Its a **** fight, but he will jump up in the rankings."

But Wilder shouldn't be saying anything. He fought you, and beat you in 99% of peoples eyes.

That should be enough to put you on your lower pedestal.
Why the need for the "but"? Its like some qualifier or statement to lessen the fact that the opponent is a joke. Especially with the 99% exaggeration.

How else can that be phrased?

I agree with Wilder’s assessment, but don’t think he should be throwing stones.

If you want to read something more into that, please go ahead but leave me out of it, because you aren’t representing my original post

The point is wilder has no place to talk about resume when his 29th fight was jason gavern. By your logic fury isnt a champ so he can fight whoever he likes. Btw wallin is better than 90% of wilders resume and thats a fact

Ok. I was moreso responding to the rest of wat u said. Basically the fact that this thread will somehow be directed at Wilder instead of Furys back2back cans
