You can pick apart a couple of wilders weak defenses, but in all honesty Fury should have went after one of them. Fury should have gone after a Gerald Washington, Artur Szpilka, Johann Duhaupas. Give them a common opponent. And those are better opponents than Otto wallin who was signed up for a 50/50 fight with a 42 year old BJ Flores.
Regardless of when he fought them, Wilder has fought a lot of opponents who were the same level or worse. in 42 fight the stand out names on his resume are:

Fury, Ortiz, Brezeale, Stiverne, Washington, Molina, Szpilka, Arreola. Out of those names only Ortiz and Fury stand out, the other names mentioned have been badly exposed before and/or after their fights with Wilder.

So my point stands...Yes this fight proposed by Fury is a joke, im hardly surprised given his own paper-thin resume. But Wilder doesn't have much leg to stand on either. Both just as bad as each other imo, feasting on weak opposition.

When you fight the no-hopers is EVERYTHING! Otherwise your so called point applies to every top boxer except Loma.

Sorry what champion with 40+ fights who we routinely hear is the best in the division has a resume as paper thin as Wilder's?

But Wilder shouldn't be saying anything. He fought you, and beat you in 99% of peoples eyes.

That should be enough to put you on your lower pedestal.

NICOLI FIRTHA with 10 losses on his record at the time was Deontay Wilders 30th pro fight. So hes got no room for criticism of who Fury is fighting. Infact with Wilders resume to date he has no room to criticize ANY pro fighter from ANY division.

However it is a crap choice by Fury.

When did Fury fighting no-hopers as a former champion and boasting "linear champion" become an indictment on Wilder's resume?

Back to the current topic. Should a guy who says he is the best heavyweight and lineal champion be fighting no-hopers back to back?

Was Wilder a former champion, boasting about being the lineal champ and best heavyweight in the division at his 29th fight? Context is everything.

Some of you guys will turn a wet dream into a negative comment about Wilder.

Oh so you cant answer my question then? Thought not...

Here I will do you a favour and answer your question, no he shouldnt be, this is a joke fight anyway they try to spin it.

See this is a consistent answer, you should try it some time instead of coming to Wilder's defense at every opportunity

NICOLI FIRTHA, with 10 losses on his record was Deontay Wilders 30th pro fight. What more needs to be said. The man with the most padded record in the whole sport has no clout when he talks crap about who other people are fighting.

Your question was irrelevant to be honest and only served to attempt to deflect from the current topic. No need to argue Wilder's resume for the zillionth time. It's not even relevant to Fury fighting another no-hoper regardless of who points it out.
