I also laugh when people make it seem like it was the biggest robbery in history that this fight was declared a DRAW!!!

    Here are the facts.......

Wilder was the champion going into the fight.

(In boxing it has ALWAYS been a rule that in order to take a Champions title you have to clearly win)

In the fight there were only 2 knock downs. Those 2 knock downs were by the CHAMPION. One was so savage some people felt the fight should have been STOPPED!!!

Two knocks is basically the equivalent of winning 4 rounds that means of the rounds left all Wilder had to do was steal 2-3 rounds that were close.

Fury could have still won more rounds on a score card and still received a DRAW because he kept GETTING DROPPED!!!

Why do Tyson fans conveniently keep missing the fact the he got put on his AZZ TWICE when they keep saying how he COMPLETELY SCHOOLED WILDER?!?

Yes Fury looked good and it will not discredit his performance at ALL but C'mon on SON!!!

He didn't ANDY RUIZ Wilder or anything!!!!!

NOW THAT WAS A BOXING LESSON!!!!

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Such a terrible piece of logic

Yes its the equivalent of winning 4 rounds, i.e +4 points

But unlike winning 4 rounds, there would be 10 rounds left, not 8.

If Wilder was scored 2 other close rounds, he still loses. If you scored him 3 other rounds, plus the two rounds he scored knockdowns in, its a draw.

But really, please provided a breakdown of which 3 other rounds you though Wilder won. If you can't, the assumption is that Wilder lost and was gifted the draw, because that's what literally everyone else thinks

I mean...he kind of addressed that:

“You know, it’s just sad,” Wilder said. “But I just sit back. I don’t really say too much. I let it be built up, until the time comes. We need people to get into something. You’ve got fans that wanna believe this and wanna believe that. You’ve got fans that like the entertainment of what’s going on. And you’ve got some fans that can see through it. But at the end of the day, I think it’s built for an amazing fight the second time around. And the truth will reveal itself in the ring that night of the fight, that’s for sure.”

Anyway, Wilder's wrong. The lineal has no physical because the fans are meant to make that.

Maybe that's the realest measure of a true lineal...their fans make their belts. Maybe Tyson isn't really lineal until his fans make a belt? I dunno, I don't care that much. It makes sense but if Tyson showed up with a physical belt he was calling his lineal who the **** could say it ain't?

Have we got a receipt for John L.'s? How about the final lineal ever made?

Given Jack Johnson is the first sanctioning body champion and from John L to Jack you can see pics of champions with belts it would be a safe bet to look at Tommy Burn's title and think it's either the last or second to last belt made without a body to back it.

If Tyson replicated the actual traditions from the era before sanctioning bodies his ass would have a belt.

If I'm honest, I think Tyson gets more attention being a beltless champion though.

Tyson is a Saint. He pulled a draw against Wilder and he'll defeat him in the rematch to reclaim his title as champ.

No Elie, you were EXPOSED, not ratted out. You are suffering from post traumatic cowardly keyboard

Then you were foolish enough to make the 1hourRun/boxingscene video not realizing you were under a Gypsy curse.

They’re trying to create something new in boxing.
That's a bit of a silly comment. Lineal has been around an age.
PBC, Showtime and boxing fans weren't shy in pushing lineal either when they though Fury was a cherrypick who's lineal status they were going to take.

Lineal can be a silly concept I agree, it can be watered down.
But if being 'the man who beat the man' is someones thing, then they can't pick and chose . If they're all in with it, then they're all in regardless. The question marks that come along with it have always been there.

How about when Foreman didn't have a belt but went 12 rounds with Shannon Briggs? ****** people get on my GD nerves and Deontay is about as moronic as we've seen in awhile in the Heavys.
At what point can he lose the title though ?

He failed multi dope tests for ******* and nandralone. Was stripped by every sanctrioning body and even the ring magazine.

How many drug tests and how many years not fighting due to drug tests bans is acceptable ?

Wilder isn't wrong. The whole notion of a lineal champ is a farce. In no weight class does there exist a true, unbroken line back to the first recognized division champ. Most weight classes are murky as hell with regard to lineage (thanks to the proliferation of sanctioning bodies and titles) and most lines go back only a few years/fighters. Despite this fact, there are apparently legions of supposedly knowledgeable boxing fans who genuinely believe the lineal title is a real thing.

Do some private research on the title history of any division in the sport and you will quickly realize that there is no such thing as a real lineal champ in boxing. Champions retire with the belt, champions get stripped, etc., etc. This is not complicated.
