Wilder on the other hand, acknowledged what he did wrong, was starting to settle down on his punches and figured out Fury's herky-jerky style in the later rounds. Wilder is eager to run it back and crush him. Wilder showcased his more relaxed, improved skills in the Breazeale fight and Ortiz is the perfect step-up fight for a more match-fit Fury. Tom Schwarz and Otto Wallin? Not so much...

Wilder knocks him out in the rematch, in a much more exciting and explosive fight than the first...
I think it needs to be considered that Wilder could be more vocal about a rematch with Fury because 99% of boxing fans believe that Fury won the first bout.

Wilder has something to prove, Fury (who was on his comeback trail and probably was at 60-70%) doesn't really. He can fight his three US bouts, rake in the money easily and then cash out with a Wilder rematch.

I'm neutral. Wilder is a mouthy c*nt and Fury is a drugs cheat but Fury won that bout, IMO.

Fury is a fraud and a coward inside and outside the ring.

Ha Espn then came along and gave Fury a contract then Wilder followed suit with a Showtime one,the only reason the rematch never happened was Wilder breaking the agreed to location ,one was in the U.S and the other was supposed to be in the U.K.,Wilder himself said we are going to do it in the U.s and one in the U.k but you guys will again make things up on here as Wilder fans. Ha
Fury gave a different reason why the rematch didn't happen, and it had nothing to do with the location. It was about leverage and no longer being an opponent:

But ESPN also didn't want the rematch right away because they wanted to build up Fury's profile in the STATES!! The problem is that Fury is choosing to fight guys you've never heard of who are ranked below the top 50 and top 40 in the world. THAT tells you either he or his team (or both) do not BELIEVE he is ready for any real challenges. And I bet it has a lot to do with the brain damage he sustained in the Wilder fight...

You must have missed what he said IMMEDIATELY after the draw was announced: he was too excited, he rushed his punches and it was a close fight. Plus he saw Fury's eyes roll into the back of his head...

Wilder doesn't need Fury. And Fury can continue to fight Schwarz and Wallin and whomever he wants. That's ESPN's problem, especially if Wilder decides to fight the Ruiz-Joshua winner for undisputed. But the actions of Fury tell you everything: he's not ready to fight the top fighters yet. Especially after that last knock down nearly decapitated him. And the bigger fight is Wilder-Ruiz on Cinco De Mayo...

Fury is a joke and should be ashamed of even thinking of taking this fight. Who is allowing this clown to pick tomato cans?

I think that the past 12 months have shown us that Wilder will only fight Ruiz, not Joshua. If Joshua beats Ruiz and Whyte's B sample comes back positive then the likelihood is that either Fury or Ruiz will be the next voluntary defence. Until Wilder beats Fury, clean and clear, Wilder will always have that dark cloud of the that 'loss' to Fury.

The fact that you said Fury isn't ready to fight the top fighters yet be should have got the W against Wilder, says a lot about who you consider to be the top fighters
