Comments Thread For: Hearn: If Selected, Andrade is Ready To Fight Canelo Next

Eddie Hearn, promoter for WBO middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade, would embrace the opportunity to finalize a unification agreement with WBC, WBA champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Canelo needs a dance partner for the fall, and at the moment there is no clear option for him to fight.

Took Hearn long enough. I could be wrong but this is the first time I've heard him push Andrade for a Canelo fight. I hope it happens

Who else is Canelo even going to pick at this point? He's only got so many more bridges he can burn before he's out of options. He should just take it while the going's still good.

If selected! Business might get in the way of this one.

Clenelo vs Andrade should be the fight. Charlo is also ready to fight 🥊

I’m sure Andrade would be ready

But there’s probably a better chance that I will be able to walk on water tomorrow then Canelos team make a Andrade fight next

Andrades called out Canelo for years and nothing but crickets

I mean if they wanted the Andrade fight they could have made it for Sept for all the straps ( Even though Canelo holds the mystical WBC Franchise / Everyone would acknowledge what it is ) they showed no interest at all and De La Hoya is even quoted a month or two ago saying Andrade isn’t in the plans.

His team doesn’t want that fight for Canelo. A dream scenario for them would be for Golovkin and Andrade to fight with the loser being eliminated from the list of names that Canelo or his team don’t want him to fight

You're right. Even his pitch for the fight seems pretty weak when you think about how other promoters scream for their fighter.

This is a strange time for boxing matchmaking as far as huge name stars go. Wilder/Ortiz is not official yet, even though everyone says it is going to happen. Ruiz/Joshua is not official yet, even though everyone says it is going to happen. The biggest King maker in boxing- =Canelo- not only cannot find a dance partner, but is in a peeing contest with his promoter over losing a strap, which also lost the huge sanctioning fees that came with stripping the King maker. Golovkin has no one to fight, even though he says he wants to get back to three fights a year with his new trainer.

Just strange happenings. I know it all works out, but...strange.

Hearn is running out of product. AJ and Whyte are out of circulation. He has plenty of time for Andrade now.
