Klit bros straights were power shots in their own right thou. It worked for a long time. Its effective if you have the reach and know how to gauge distance properly like Vitali did.

A loss to unexpected for bring all sorts of sh**. AJ can fight sure on the inside but the heart Ruiz showed on the night was unbelievable with fast hands. Ruiz just was ready to die showing no respect for Joshua except he dies. However was a second guy we did not know for the dressing room to ring....pure fact only if u are real...... AJ gave his attributes out coming low to box Ruiz (putting himself in Ruiz punch range). All that matters in rematch is fight Ruiz like u did Parker and with good head movement. Ruiz will not see Rd7 and will be battered out if frustration.

Joshua will likely stop Ruiz because he will sharpshoot Ruiz from the outside and continously eats hard rights till its an RTD or tko. Joshua would just box around in circles around Ruiz.

... Firstly: the OP is wrong, because Ruiz didn't hammer AJ from the "inside", but from "mid range"...

... Secondly: Thraxox, dear, you are wrong too... because AJ usually hurts his opponents from "mid range", and he was engaging Ruiz at "mid range" only twice in that fight -- i.e. precisely when he was floored four times, tbh...

... in fact you are saying that AJ will run all the fight and he will beat Ruiz to the jab... (nope, no way)...

... Vitali Klitschko really was good and tough... AJ is only a "soft millennial" as compared to him...

Good post and I agree! Joshua is at his best when standing in the center of the ring at mid range while walking his man down. He needs to walk Ruiz down and force him to fight off the back foot in order to win this fight. Their styles are very similar. Joshua cannot fight off the back foot and neither can Andy Ruiz, Jr.

Arreola is wrong! Joshua can fight on the inside. He is a mid to short range fighter.

The problem with Anthony Joshua is that he cannot fight at long range, on the outside or off the back foot because when he does, he expends a lot of energy and stamina doing so.

AJ throws nice uppercuts, hooks and body punches while fighting on the inside and fighting off the front foot. However, when he is fighting off the back foot, he is either tired, hurt or looking for a second wind.

                    ... Of course!...

There were numerous "assessments", here, just after the fight... Back then, I quickly re-watched many of AJ's fights and acknowledged his "best stance" in the ring... not that big of a "rocket science"...

                      Right... OK...

... In my opinion, AJ experienced a "mental meltdown" due to pressure, in that fight... but once someone is experiencing something like this, that "someone" will always be exposed...
