Canelo at 34 is “old.” Or should we refer to “Prime?”

The only thing Canelo can say he has is that he fought guys people said he wouldn't, in a timely fashion. If he beats Andrade, then Kovalev, Then actually beats GGG in a non disputed fight then the kid has one of the best resumes in recent memory for sure.

He's still young also so who knows who else he takes on in the coming years. I'm not a huge fan of his but I respect the fk out of him because he takes the fights people wanna see even if they don't make sense to do so.

Haymon Sports has classified information working with Mayweather Promotions. Floyd was the genesis of PBC. There are cryptic captures of Floyd enjoying the moment where he subliminally thinks he’s running PBC. Floyd in theory would know how to consult for who should fight who. I’m sure Haymon relies on that. Styles make fights. Floyd is a gambler as well. Wouldn’t be surprised if Floyd is Haymon’s Sam Rothstein.

[QUOTE=I'm Widdit!;19958170]It makes perfect sense! lol. How does ''The Best Ever'' in a boxer dodge Cotto or Canelo's Middleweight belts? Mayweather could've easily done 155 if he did it with Cotto and perhaps Canelo at 155. How come Mayweather was quiet when Cotto and Alvarez had the Middleweight straps. If it's easy work, how come he didn't attempt 6 division Champ status, Ring or Lineal with them? 1 lb?

            Vintage Floyd hater logic.

                Did you pass pre-Algebra?

Did Floyd need to fight at the full 160 for Cotto or Canelo? Floyd would be A side. You think Floyd would give Cotto or Canelo the full 160? Therefore, 154.5 or 155 is the lowest Floyd could go in order to officially merit 6 Divisional status, Lineal or Ring.

You can pretend that Floyd didn’t fight at 154 or hold the Super WBA or WBC 154 belts simultaneously with the 147 belts, and you can also pretend that both Cotto and Canelo weren’t down for rematches with Floyd.

Truth is Floyd knew Cotto was bigger than ever when he beat Martinez. Floyd chose PAC in 2015 instead of calling out Cotto or Canelo for his 6 divisional status... and remember... these were supposedly easy fights for Floyd.. a 1lb difference.

His win over GGG is highly disputed and most neutrals, not Canelo loving GGG haters think he lost. Even one of the famous Canelo loving Vegas judges called it a draw and the other two had it 115 to 113. Canelo was 27 years old which is prime and no kid. GGG was 36 and 6 years past prime and most thought he won. He fought one cherry pick fight above 160 against weak Fielding. He gets no credit from me for just talking about fights and not fighting them. Mayweather has him beat by a mile and he could lose a fight at any time if he really fights the best.

John Ruiz was still pretty damn strong and tough. RJJ did well to beat him, especially at the stage of his career that he was at.
