I hear where ur coming from with contracts being what they are. But is there even a limit to how many rematch clauses u can put? It really cheapens the win and the belts when u smash a guy and still have to do whatever he says. If u don’t sign the rematch clause u prolly don’t get the fight. The guy with the belts now has no stroke. The rematch bigger than first fight, but u don’t get to cash in on that. AJ makes more because he lost. Being the better man in the ring should cost the “A” side financially. I’m just trying to think of a way where winning should be worth the most regardless. Even as I write this I can’t pretend I have an answer. Theres A paradox somewhere. It’s all a mess, there’s so many sides to it all. Sorry for opening my mouth.

UK boxing has made their own bed, no one else. If fighters don't wanna deal with it that's UK boxing's problem. Sometimes perception becomes reality. People get to make their own decisions. You can't deny it's a "cozy" environment for UK fighters.
Make it cozy for everyone else. Stop whining like a child. "They don't wanna come over here doe". LoL!Comment

Then again, maybe that's why he so successfully put AJ on his a$$, 'cause he "didn't care", LoL!Comment

Lots of whiners keep posting what they WISH the contract said, along with a lot of mumbo-jumbo about whats "always" in a contract (and they have probably never negotiated one).
Ruiz is refusing it because he knows he can refuse it. Both sides have to agree on the location.Last edited by MastaBlasta; 08-04-2019, 12:14 AM.Comment

Joshuas my guy but he quit mentally in the end and it happens ,he didn't quit getting up multiple times though what people want to ignore is Ruiz's ability to take a punch was overlooked.
In the end it doesn't matter Joshuas never been actually punched out of a match ,and he made more then a handful of mistakes.
Ruiz is in for a tough night in the rematch ,I don't think its even in question ...Joshua should win ,Ruiz is not on his level ,he had his night but a repeat victory is more slim in a rematch.
fight stopped short ? IMOP yes it was ,as a huge event make the fighters fight even if they are leabning back ,the fighter who was Joshua is talking to you ,either way,Ruiz is really in for a bad night next time.
Amazing how to detached from reality you AJ fanboys are, even after getting proven wrong. You still ignore reality.Comment

PBC boxers not worried about needing "protection', lol. But it's good to be smart in any profession. Boxers are smart enough to see that only matchroom fighters seem to get a consistent fair shake in UK bouts. No one runs to adventures in places where they stand a good chance of getting screwed over.

So AJ as the big star here giving Ruiz a chance in the US should get the advantage again by having the second fight in the US?
Hearn is just replying to the constant comments of Ruiz claiming the fight is happening in the US and nowhere else even though there is a contract here, but you think Hearn is the one being a pillock? Anything to say of the coward that is Andy Ruiz with him acting like a diva?
Hearn's handled this like a mess. They didn't have a country stipulated in the rematch clause. So suck it up and be reasonable. Your guy lost.
He's going weeks after the fight I or we'll have a location and fight sorted within 3 days. That was weeks ago.
Both sides say US or, Ruiz rightly suggesting or Mexico, Hearn saying or UK.
The natural rematch location was the US. But gradually Hearn has stated the UK and that's what he's informing Ruiz. What a cheek. You want your belts back or not?
Hearn said AJ wasn't fussed. So yeh I stand by it all. Ruiz is a stand up guy and is being reasonable. There's just too many things with Hearn to constantly give him the benefit of the doubt and defend him now. Although I do thing team Wilder were playing games more than him but neither parties innocent in that one.Comment

But you called him soft and didn't pass comment on the coward who is crying about travelling in Ruiz. AJ has already travelled for the first fight so it's only fair the rematch happens in the UK. Robinson did likewise when he lost to Turpin in the UK for the first fight. Or are you going to claim Robinson was soft as well?
... But what SRR has to do with this?... (not to mention that you seem to know nothing about the SRR's "European tour" back in 1951 -- SRR had 7 fights in 6 countries in less than 2 months... with Turpin being his last fight in that tour... three months later SRR KOd Turpin in front of 60,000 fans in NY)...Comment

Nonsense. And I'm an AJ fan and occasional Hearn supporter.

I'm actually starting to wonder if they aren't announcing the venue just to keep it in the headlines, add a bit of mystery.Comment
