Fighters have no obligation to negotiate at all! You can request a purse bid at any time. You can't sue a fighter for wanting a purse bid. Canelo is refusing to do a purse bid, so he's being stripped. Simple.

A fighter does not have to negotiate, but Derevyanchenko and his team did decide to negotiate and possibly did so in bad faith. He and his team were heavily involved in negotiating with GB and Canelo. Maybe they just negotiated to fish for information, like how far GB would wiling to go in terms of keeping the belt ad payout and then he would go back and report it to his Fuhrer Al Haymon.

I have been saying this for along time in 10 years the majority of Haymon's current fighters will be suing him. He is Don King, the only difference is he has a Harvard degree.
