Explain the mando position. It's not like Wlad stopped or even talked like he would when decent fighters made themselves known. Wlad was still fighting mandos and fighting his mando was super predictable.Who did Wlad not fight? What big names passed Wlad by? Look at Wilders resume. What big names has Wilder fought? What big names didnt pass him by?
The resumes of both fighters tell us everything we need to know, and if that wasnt enough Finkels words regarding the fight were even more clear.
To claim Finkel protected Wlad from Wilder is just embarrassing really. Im struggling to believe you actually feel you are speaking the truth, there is no way you can mean what you are saying here.
He was old. Wilder is young. Are you telling me Shelly didn't see Wilder as his post Wlad money? You think Shelly's long term plans were centered around Wlad being champion into his fifties or some ****?
Obviously Shelly was looking beyond Wlad's retirement when he chose to work so closely with Wilder. That's a ****in' duh son. He's not investing in a prospect that won't be there. Investment prospect not boxing prospect. Even if Wlad didn't get ktfo he'd've retired soon. Leaving mister Finkel with?
So, who was he protecting again and why? If Wlad fights someone else Wlad's a good chance to win and so Shelly wins. If Wlad fights Wilder that's one of Shel's wallets thrown away guaranteed.
That said, yes, I am quite sure Shelly knew Wlad wasn't his cash cow anymore. I'm sure Shelly knew Wlad was old.Comment

Surely if all that was true and Finkel believed Wilder beat Wlad why did he choose not to make the fight? If Wilder was his new cash cow and he felt he beat his old cash cow then surely he would make the fights, Wilder becomes a super star and unified, i think undisputed champion.Explain the mando position. By your logic he SHOULD of made the fight so Wilder became the man. UNLESS Finkel didnt believe Wilder would beat Wlad in which case he protected him from Wlad which is what everybody other you has been saying all along. Finkel protected Wilder from Wlad.Comment

Not if you're trying to build a retirement package for Wlad. He's still Wlad's employee and still needs to look for what is best for Wlad. What's best for Wlad is soft touch Fury who knocks out no one. That gives Wilder time to build his brand and should the worse happen Wlad shouldn't expect to be hurt, and, both present about the same draw at the time; not much at all.Surely if all that was true and Finkel believed Wilder beat Wlad why did he choose not to make the fight? Wlad was the draw, Wlad's safest move was to stay on course and fight his mando, Wlad's biggest potential payday, regardless of if Wilder's easy to him, is to allow his manager's other fighter to grow to something with a considerable draw so that Wlad can get paid rather then be the one doing the paying.
They're both Finkel's fighters my dude. If Shelly wanted that fight it'd've been done overnight.
Wlad made absolutely no attempt to fight Wilder. Wilder did actually make an attempt, even if you don't believe it was genuine one he still issued a challenge to Fury that was refused by Peter. Peter didn't muck about, he just said Wilder's too dangerous.
I'm not saying Wlad was ever scared of anymore. I'm saying it was in everyone's best interest to wait except Wilder. Including Shelly.
Josh wasn't in title contention yet.Comment
