I disagree, I think both of those guys are too small, and that Cotto has been on the verge of being stopped by much lesser punchers.

paul williams is actually a very good inside fighter for someone so lanky, he throws very tight and compact uppercuts on the inside and is pretty good at putting together hook combos as well. he also knows how to use his quick straight left to get distance and discourage his opponent from throwing the right hand in close.

for this reason i see him beating hatton, cotto im not so sure about, it would come down to williams chin cause he could surely outbox miguel

I don't see that at all, because Walter can ****, and Williams fought through everything thrown at him and kept fighting.

I think his chin was checked in that fight and he passed.

As for Paul at welterweight and who can beat him...I think it is tough to predict what he is really like based upon the open book that Matthysse was for him.

As good as he looked in his last fight I would expect a letdown in his next bout...

Williams deserves as much credit for beating Matthyse as DLH got for beating Mayorga. They both beat guys with absolutely no boxing ability that had no Plan B if they didn't land that one big shot. I'm not saying Williams sucks, but he needs a better test. Mitchell will provide a test. I would also like to see him actually face the man he's calling out, Margarito, and see how he can handle real pressure fighter with power...
