Who COULDN'T Paul Williams beat at 147?

I know the guy is young, but he throws 110 shots a round for a full fight, and has an iron jaw. He also have great speed and good accuracy.

Just curious (and I'm NOT saying I think he beats everyone at Welterweight yet)

Who do you think beats Paul Williams at 147 if they were to fight in the fall?

He'd be a handfull for anyone.

He does have a lot of potential but he's not ready for the top dogs at 147.

He's one of those guys that you have to see again before you can make a realisitic assesment on. I will like to see how he does against Mitchell and I think thats a solid opponent for him.

Part of me thinks he could be a monster and something weve never seen before but another part of me thinks that he still got hit way too much and a top fighter will easily beat him.

If I had to pick right now then I say that he loses to Floyd & Margarito. Nearly every other fight is up in the air.

I think Baldy can do everything that Mathysee was having success with against him but do it better. On the other hand I think Baldy would have alot of problems with a slick fast guy like him

Can anyone upload a couple of his fights?
I've yet to see him in action.
Geez! If he throws 110 shots every round, the question of you thread is a very good question.
Is he fast, what's his style like?

I heard Williams is a big Welterweight and he most likely might not finish his career at 147lbs.
Maybe in the future, we can see Ouma vs. Williams at 154lbs.

He's 6 foot 1 at 147lbs, is a southpaw, but fights similar to (not making a direct compairison) to a welterweight Hearns.

He has a long pole of a jab, and can mix in hooks, crosses and uppercuts with great speed.

He looks like he'd be chinny because he's so lankey, but if you know Walter Matthyese he ate some BOMBS from him and wasn't phased.

I think he'd be a handfull for anyone at Welter right now, even though I agree he shouldn't be rushed in to anything.

Its going to be tough for anyone to deal with a guy like this.

And he also makes Baldomir and Gatti look like lightweights.

See, this is the big disagreement that everyone has about that fight. Half the people who saw the Mathysee fight are like you and said that Williams took bombs from a hard puncher and wasnt phased so you know his chin is good. Then the other half of the people are like me, and think that he did get rocked a few times in that fight, had a suspect looking chin, and against a more talented guy he mightve been KO.

I don't see that at all, because Walter can ****, and Williams fought through everything thrown at him and kept fighting.

I think his chin was checked in that fight and he passed.

              But time will tell.

i like williams, i dont care to really get into who he could or couldnt beat cause he hasnt had enough tough fights and hasnt fought good fighters with unique styles.

                i will say this though.

a fight between paul williams and kermit cintron would be very exciting and would answer a lot of questions about both guys.

I agree with the bolded part, that's the biggest mistake that's being made in boxing today.

                  Hopefully he becomes successful.
