Comments Thread For: Kownacki Regrets Conditioning Kept Him From Taking Joshua Fight

Luis Ortiz isn't the only heavyweight wondering what would've happened had he accepted an opportunity to fight former champion Anthony Joshua on short notice. Adam Kownacki turned down that chance, too, but not only because he also believed he'd challenge WBC champ Deontay Wilder in the foreseeable future. Kownacki wasn't in good enough condition to cram in a five-week training camp and feel properly prepared for a fight of that magnitude June 1 at Madison Square Garden.

Dont think kownacki would have gotten up from them shots the way Ruiz did.

I wasn’t surprised he turned down the fight, Haymon already had him and Ortiz in line for Wilder. Those were his own managers words. You can try and sugarcoat it but Andy Ruiz took his chance and shows he had more balls than all of them at HW.

Conditioning? Yeah right , he looks worse than Ruiz in shorts..

He didn't want none of that smoke at the time. And now Joshua got beat, he changing his tune.
