To be fair, does Charlo have an exclusive contract with any networks? He could easily pop over to DAZN for a big fight and Haymon still gets his piece of the pie.

I'm not saying anyone even wants a Charlo fight but I dont think anything is prohibiting him from a one off if the opportunity presents itself. Charlo is not a PPV fighter nor does he have any good fights fir him at 160 at PBC until Hurd and Jrock come up.

Spence vs Crawford is a PPV fight, not an OTA show. They both get paid and it's a co promotion I'm sure. They all win.....

If Charlo got a one off for Andrade the same way Ramirez got for Hooker he should absolutely take it. But Hearn has only sent them multi fight deals.

If they do 250-300k for Spence/Porter then it's no question FOX has the biggest impact on PPVs. They just promote it way more than any other network. Now, HBO/SHO promote it well too, they just don't have FOX's reach.

Whats crazy is they didn't even really push anything extreme for Pac vs Thurman it was almost under-promoted compared to Spence vs Garcia, Spence Garcia was promoted more because these were two unknowns so it shows you they know what they are doing

but if they pushed Pac vs Thurman a bit more on FOX and showed more stuff it would be even more buys

I think Spence vs Porter will do at least 350k buys FOX is going to push it heavy in LA the celebs will go out since its in STaples center.

They're using boxing to get subscribers for their app. They admitted it when they said they're putting the good fights on the app because combat sports fans are used to paying for content.

Top Rank has no say in what goes on the app & what goes on regular ESPN. They have less control than they had at HBO.

To be fair, Spence/Garcia also got a big push from the NFL season. They would have both at Cowboys games and put them in big spots during the broadcast to help the promotion out.

They may have done a bit more for Spence/Garcia no doubt. But like you said, they were also two unknowns to the mainstream so they needed a bigger push.

If Spence vs Porter does 350k buys, then that would be pretty insane and effectively put Spence in PPV fights the rest of his career.......Assuming he wins. Well, on PPV until he loses or loses multiple fights in a row.
