Korobov is like the real guy GGG haters try to make GGG out to be. Guy gets credit for fights he didn't win, in the ring or fights that didn't happen. He's solid & not undeserving to be a top ten-ish guy, but he's a figment of hater's dreams mostly & he's not likely to beat any tip top guy.

Korobov is one of those strange fighters who manages to always fight down to his opponents level. It's why he arguably beat Charlo but got a draw with Aleem. That lack of consistency has followed him throughout his career.

I like to nurture this little theory that, under very different circumstances and tutelage, Korobov could have possibly enjoyed Golovkin-like success. I think the raw talent is/was there, if not ever fully cultivated. I think the path may have really started to veer with the Andy Lee loss, which also played as a failed HBO headliner tryout.

I don't know man. Jacobs is falling into the bad habit of not letting his hands go enough. When he throws enough punches he stops his opponents and knock them out. However, now he is pacing himself more and I can't understand the reason why.

Who knows perhaps he is overtrained and has outgrown the 160 lbs division. It's because he lacks the same amount of stamina and energy that he once had several years ago when he was knocking opponents out. Now he just chooses to coast and carry his opponents across the finish line.

I thought he could have defeated Canelo Alvarez had he let his hands go more. Ginger was slowing down and fatiguing in the second half of the fight and yet Jacobs refused to increase his workrate.

Very true...DAZN contract created complacency with Danny...he can coast into a healthy retirement taking little risks these days...true facts!

I have to agree. The guy looked like a beast coming up until he was knocked out by Andy Lee. He was winning handily until he got caught. Who has he beaten since that fight? A lot of inactivity and 36 years old. I was at the Charlo fight. He fought well and the scores could have been closer but IMHO he lost. I believe that he would be a good opponent for Jacobs, especially at Barclays or MSG but I would favor Jacobs. My arse will probably be there,lol.

Korobov is a legit opponent that Jacobs hasn't wanted to take on so far. I don't blame Jacobs recently, as he's been fighting top competition. He's gonna have to make his way to Korobov though if he wants to keep fighting legit competition!
