Comments Thread For: Korobov: Jacobs Has Avoided Me At All Costs; I Want Him Next!

Matt Korobov believes Daniel Jacobs probably will ignore his challenge. The Russian middleweight contender is very willing, however, to fight Jacobs when the former IBF 160-pound champion returns to the ring some time in November. Korobov beat Jacobs when they were amateurs and is certain he'd defeat him again if Jacobs gives him the opportunity.

I don't know man. Jacobs is falling into the bad habit of not letting his hands go enough. When he throws enough punches he stops his opponents and knock them out. However, now he is pacing himself more and I can't understand the reason why.

Who knows perhaps he is overtrained and has outgrown the 160 lbs division. It's because he lacks the same amount of stamina and energy that he once had several years ago when he was knocking opponents out. Now he just chooses to coast and carry his opponents across the finish line.

I thought he could have defeated Canelo Alvarez had he let his hands go more. Ginger was slowing down and fatiguing in the second half of the fight and yet Jacobs refused to increase his workrate.

If I'm Danny Jacobs, I want Charlo at 160, IF I CAN MAKE 160! If not, fight Callum Smith or BJ Saunders @ 168! Korobov is high-risk, low-reward! Time to cash out!

This nicca is deluded as shlt he be acting like he's a boogeyman or something. This is actually a great fight for Jacobs iirc Korobov has fought at 168 before. I think this is a great entry level fight at 168 for him.

But Korobov has the gas tank of a car begging for a stop at the gas station. Dude just went life & death with Aleem & looked worse than the Charlo fight & Aleem is a lesser opponent & it was a great turn around (maintaining activity) for Korobov smh.

Jacobs is better than him & should take this fight imo, great common opponent with Charlo since him & Andrade aren't fighting.

            Shìt let's see it.

Charlo ain't gonna give him that rematch.

Maybe Jacobs still has nightmares about their amateur bout

Aleem was whooping his ass the 2nd half of the fight.

I can see why he feels hard done by in the Charlo fight. I think Jacobs beats him though if they fought.

Korobov is quite good and has been robbed too often, making him appear to be a weaker opponent than he actually is. I can see why some are avoiding the challenge.

I like this fight. Korobov has won his last two fights in my book. And one of them was against unbeaten Jermall Charlo. He's a worthy opponent for Jacobs coming off a loss.
