Hatton via UD. Baldomir hasn't got the boxing technique to make Hatton pay like Colazo did. I see Hatton punishing Baldomir with Baldomir having his moments, but still coming short.

The guy who said the body is the key to slowing Baldy down is right. Gatti and Judah were both headhunters against him, but Hatton is relentless to the body. Baldy's size and strength are still going to be factors making it hard for Hatton. Hatton is the better fighter, but is he a true welter? Or better yet, is he enough of a welter to beat someone who has good, natural welter size, relentlessness and a granite chin? Time will tell, but I'd favor Ricky to win a decision in a fight with a lot of blood and swelling from both sides. I still think 140 is where Hatton should be, though.

i don't see baldomir giving ricky many problems because he isn't a slick fighter like collazo . i think hatton outworks and outwrestles (lol) for the UD. baldy takes a good punch so i don't see hatton putting him away.

Hatton crushes him. Hatton will hit harder than Gatti did at 147 and Gatti hit Baldomir all night. Baldomir has a good chin, but he will have more respect for Hatton's power. You should also remember that Judah never hit Baldomir flush with any power shots, so don't go saying Baldomir's chin is granite and all that. He can take a punch yeah but I don't see him taking an abundance from any power hitter at 147. Hatton will break him down and win on points.

Hatton's camp have made no secret they're after the Baldomir fight and were outbid last time by Gatti.

If the fight were to take place then what would the outcome be?

As Baldomir has had a very good last fight and Hatton the opposite, I'm sure this'll factor into some replies.

One thing I will urge though - let's keep the topic on BOXING and leave race out of it, yeah?
It'd be a great fight as Hatton's an exciting fighter and we've seen Baldi comes to fight as well. But, based on Hatton's last and only performance at 147, he doesn't carry much power in this division. Baldi might not be a power puncher, but he's a physically a strong natural WW, I don't see Hatton bullying him around and getting his clinching shots in. If this fight ever happens I'd like to see the old RH, the one who threw over 100 punches per rd on most of his fights and BOXED with heavy body shots, and then maybe he'd stand a chance, but we haven't seen him in the past few fights. I'd say Baldi UD.

Hatton fights dirty but Baldomir will give as much as he will take IMO. This will be a wrestling match, I think, with both figthters doing every dirty trick in the book. Baldomir is also pretty strong, Hatton will have a very hard time pushing him around. I doubt Hatton will even take the fight but if he does, it'll be Baldomir by decision.

graham already said no to this fight. he said it doesnt make sense financially. But what i think graham and the hatton camp are under-estimating is the fan interest in the fight, which i think would be very large. I think each fighter would make upwards of a million dollars because every boxing fan i know of would want to tune in and watch the showdown!!!

I think either hatton would win by points or baldy would win by KO. baldy cant be hurt to the face as seen in the gatti fight so i dont think hatton could knock him out (although he might get a body shot KD), and if baldy were to win, he'd have to hurt hatton and finish him. i doubt that baldy could win by points if the old hatton comes to fight.

If this fight happens, and it had an okay undercard, i certainly would pay to see this fight without hisitation!!!

the only way hatton can win this fight is if he learns how to box like he did at 140 prior to the kostya fight. if he can fight like that at 147, he will be able to unify the division. but considering his last performance it is unlikely.

I'll say this: though Hatton isn't a one-punch KO artist, he has recently shown that he has the ability to crack previously uncrackable chins (Maussa), so who's to say...?
