So what would happen in Hatton-Baldomir?

    This'll be interesting, I'm sure.

Hatton's camp have made no secret they're after the Baldomir fight and were outbid last time by Gatti.

If the fight were to take place then what would the outcome be?

As Baldomir has had a very good last fight and Hatton the opposite, I'm sure this'll factor into some replies.

One thing I will urge though - let's keep the topic on BOXING and leave race out of it, yeah?

I'm not Hatton's biggest fan but I think he should be able to outwork Baldomir and move in and out of range. I actually think this fight would make Hatton look good, or better at least as he'll not want to be quite so close and Baldomir isn't as quick as Ricky.

But Baldomir has proven he's no pushover and Hatton can't bully at 147, so it would be a closeun. Hatton UD 116-112

Good points, Wolf. I imagine that if the Hatton camp were sensible they'd do this like Hatton-Tackie.

This matchup is better style wise for Hatton, taking nothing away from Baldomir, especially after looking less than impressive against the boxer, Collazo (who deserves respect in his own right). I don't see anyone knocking Baldomir out in the near future, but i think Hatton can take a decision..

This fight is too close to call. There are many factors that make it difficult to pick a clear winner. Hatton has a bit better technique, but he also has a style that will allow Baldomir to play off of his size. We've already seen Baldy beat two guys with better handspeed than himself so I'm not sure how much Hatton's handspeed will help.

This fight would be fun to watch...I need to watch Baldy a bit more to really make a decision.

remember you dont have to hit someone in their head
            to ko them

            a constant body attack will
            stop anyone

            unlike callzo baldy
            is much easier to hit
            and baldy gets tired and
            hatton doesnt

            hatton can take a punch
            baldy cant give one

hatton moves alot in and out
            bob n weave hands high

i see hatton winning by late tko or
            ud

but its boxing anythign can happen

All I wanna know is who were the 12 guys that Baldomir knocked out in his career ??? 40 fights and 12 knockouts would suggest lack of power right ? I think a Hatton / Baldy fight would be so close it would be a draw with the majority of fans and posters here on boxing scene saying Baldy should have won a split. You heard it here first !!!

I've only seen Baldo twice, but never seen him tired. Hatton also has great Stamina but he was spent against Callozo

Baldomir is too much WW for Hatton. He walks around at f'ng cruiser and is completely comfortable fighting at welter, is persistent in his own right, gets stronger as the fight goes on, and has a good enough punch to make Ricky think twice about nonstop bullrushing him.

This fight ends in SD. I'm going with Carlos.
