Hearn: BScene article was factually incorrect!

Some interesting info on the Whyte/Rivas controversy in this interview with Eddie.

He talks about the hearing which cleared Dillian to fight, but can't say too much for legal reasons, and says the Boxingscene article which broke the news on Whyte's test failure was factually incorrect.

He also says a WBC representative inspected the gloves Dillian wore and passed them as fully legal, with Rivas' trainer and promoter present during the inspection. Rivas was then given the option to wear the same gloves himself but turned them down.

On the rumours about Rivas failing a post fight PED test, Eddie says that if it was a UKAD test he failed, then due to UKAD confidentiality rules, nobody but Rivas's team will know anything about it till the investigation is concluded.

At the request of some US fans who can't concentrate on video interviews for more than 5 minutes, I'll break this one down into bite sized chunks especially for them.

Part 1 - on the pre fight hearing:

    On the gloves:

On Rivas possibly failing a UKAD test himself:

Good to see more information coming forward. As I posted elsewhere, protocol seems to have been followed, regardless of what happened with the tests.

What happens next is now open to further hearings.

Eddie Hearn is a punk. Trying to lie on our beloved website, just to cover his tracks. Sorry chump, your fighter cheated, you tried to keep it a secret, and it came out. Man up, bruh...

You know its amateur hour over there in the UK, they want to throw people off the trail with this glove issue, HOWEVER, if team Rivas was not allowed to inspect the gloves themselves and if Whyte was already gloved up, then his handwraps could of been plaster -- nevermind the gloves, its a smokescreen.

Bad enough they failed a PED test, to make matters worse team Whyte then gives no FOOKs and loads up their gloves. Everything is OK, nothing to see here folks, just cheating like we always do.

Hearns says boxingscene was wrong and that Whyte was cleared in a hearing but can’t discuss more because of legal issues. Dillian Whyte also claims he can’t say anything further because of legal issues.

Who’s going to sue them for defending themselves?

Is the answer no one? Yup.

It’s just an excuse divulge as little information a small possible.

Oscar Rivas’ team called the gloves into question and this is now a he said he said. I’ll trust the guys who didn’t try to cover up a failed drug test over the guys that did.

The Oscar Rivas failed a drug test is a rumor made up by some random Brit who said in the exact interview that he can’t really confirm it and that it’s alleged. So, in other words, it was completely made up.

Him and whyte are trying to intimidate boxingscene so they remove the article

              Didn't work

              Hearn is a spin doctor

The actions of him, ukad and whyte were reprehensible both before and after the fight

And that random brit is a sky sports employee

Add sky sports to the list of disgraceful pieces in this debacle.

                Forget spencer fearon.

What about the fact that sky sports probably knew and did nothing. Adam smith included.

Hearn says that Anber and Yvon Michel were present when the gloves were inspected and passed as legal by the BBBoC and the WBC.

He also says that Rivas was given the option to wear the same gloves himself but declined the offer. This was a WBC sanctioned fight and WBC officials were present to make sure everything complied with their rules.

Are you going to tell me the WBC are in Hearn's pocket now?

All this stuff coming from Rivas' team is nothing but sour g****s and them doing everything they can to get the result overturned. You can bet your life, if Rivas had won, there wouldn't be a peep from them about Whyte's gloves!

You’re dismissing Rivas’ claim because the party involved in a cover up said the glove issue wasn’t an issue?

                    LOL
