I know Fury well. I know he retired when Wlad decided he would take the rematch. I know he was beaten by David Price in the amateurs and then avoided him in the pros. I know Wilder wanted a rematch straight away and Fury didn't. Doesn't seem like Wilder was the one worried does it?
I know Fury is continuously fighting bums.
I also know Fury has no belts and was banned for 2 years for taking PEDs.
What Fury has done his whole career is avoid anyone with a big punch or who is a top-level fighter unless it's for a belt. It's risk-avoidance. That's why his second best win after Wlad is Derek Chisora
He's definitely on a risk avoidance strategy right now, no doubt. If that ends in the Wilder fight, I won't have too much issue with it, even if these fights now are a waste of time for viewers.
I disagree that his second best win is Chisora, though.... surely it's Wilder?
