Is in it sad when the supposed best star in boxing has to go to purse bids? I never heard a great champion going around fighters that were mandatory. Chavez, Sweet Pea, Morales, Barrera, Roy Jones, and many more great champions all fought mandatories that weren't at their level, but it was imposed by the organized sanctioning bodies of boxing and the took the fights. This red head freckle a$s ***** doesn't want to obey any rules. We as fans should blame ourselves for paying these guys for fights that are picked and choose.

He’s negotiating with Derev isn’t he? Now tell me, when was the fight with Charlo mandated by the WBC? GGG ducked his Mando and fought an inactive 154 pounder then you guys blamed Alvarez.

when the champ will make better fights than your shabby mando..... shut your mouth, and get out of the fkn way
Yeah I don’t get it. But i think the rest of the organizations will follow suit soon. Not too sure but isn’t the wba super champ the same as the franchise? Where they don’t have mandos?

Indeed it is, Maravilla Martinez was also elevated to Super champion back in the day.

You finished saying that mandos are nonsensical.

"It basically means that Nelo is the champ champ and doesn’t have to waste his time with nonsensical “Mandatories”.

Not fighting Drev and possibly screwing up the rematch made sense for Golovkin at that time. You appear to have a double standard when it comes to Canelo.

The reason it makes sense for Alvarez right now it’s because the IBF is enforcing the Mando. I’m not for it but what can you do. So if he wants to be undisputed he has to fight Derev in order to not get stripped. He doesn’t need to fight Charlo. Charlo brings nothing to the table that Alvarez needs. The guy doesn’t even bring fans. Now golovkin said had the same goal. He had the opportunity to defend the belt and then fight canelo after the rematch fell through. But he chose to play it safe and wait On Alvarez. So no double standard here buddy.
