Is in it sad when the supposed best star in boxing has to go to purse bids? I never heard a great champion going around fighters that were mandatory. Chavez, Sweet Pea, Morales, Barrera, Roy Jones, and many more great champions all fought mandatories that weren't at their level, but it was imposed by the organized sanctioning bodies of boxing and the took the fights. This red head freckle a$s ***** doesn't want to obey any rules. We as fans should blame ourselves for paying these guys for fights that are picked and choose.

[QUOTE=Senor_frogs;19947750]Yeah I don’t get it. But i think the rest of the organizations will follow suit soon. Not too sure but isn’t the wba super champ the same as the franchise? Where they don’t have mandos?[/QIndeed
Indeed it is, Maravilla Martinez was also elevated to Super champion back in the day.

"It basically means that Nelo is the champ champ and doesn’t have to waste his time with nonsensical “Mandatories”.
Not fighting Drev and possibly screwing up the rematch made sense for Golovkin at that time. You appear to have a double standard when it comes to Canelo.
