would FLOYD have ducked GGG back in 2012-2013? Abel needed ''5-6 weeks for 154''

Golovkin: Would Fight Ward at 168 and Canelo at 154

btw..... Bullshltkin killed BOTH those fights over weight

you are a **** for not keeping it real about Mr "anyone from 154-168"

The offer to Mayweather was documented and written about and it was to be at 165 pounds for Mayweather's belts and Mayweather's father rejected the offer saying GGG was to big. Cotto the catchweight king and not a superstar has nothing to do with the purposed Mayweather GGG fight. Cotto was the WBC middleweight champion. Just because Cotto won and defended the world middleweight championship at a catchweight doesn't make it right. GGG refused to fight a unification fight with Cotto at a damn catchweight and rightfully so. You must be a newby and not around when this happened. I remember it well and Mayweather was offered a fight for his titles at the standard 154 pounds and rejected the fight.

a few months after totally refusing to negotiate on weight with Cotto and Canelo..... Mr "anyone from 154-168" stated that he is willing and able to fight at 154, but nobody will step up.....

    you are a mug

anyone with even the slightest clue knows that Mayweather would beat Hypekin at 154

I saw what happened in the Brook fight

Mayweather is WAY quicker..... and WAY better..... than Brook

only dopey casual-fans do not realize that GGG would only be GG at 154

GG would get exactly what Canelo got

Mr " anyone from 154-168 " already killed TWO fights with SUPERSTARS by refusing to drop a single pound..... the ONLY guy Mr "anyone from 154-168" agreed to drop weight for..... was Rosado, a middleweight

Golovkin passed on THREE HUGE fights, and multiple unifications/title shots..... so I don't think he would take the fight

Golovkin simply does not make big fights, I think he would pass..... and if it happened at 154, Mayweather would win

if you make 154, Mayweather will beat you..... a JMW is not big enough to impose the type of physical style it would take to beat Mayweather, it would take a full middleweight

at 160 I would definitely favor Golovkin (even though he underachieved with Jacobs and Canelo), simply because of weight..... but Mayweather has sparred PLENTY of middleweights

you all seem to forget..... the quicker/better-skilled Canelo got HANDLED by Mayweather, Plodkin would get beaten up at 154

Use your brain to remember. Not to mention he had just signed a deal with HBO and floyd moved to showtime in 2013

It’s not a duck however, Floyd is a welter and Golovkin is a MW. It would be above and beyond the call for Floyd to fight a prime MW.

Again, fellas, Abel is saying he would need 5-6 weeks of camp to prep GGG for 154. Haven’t you guys realized that’s the normal camp time for major title fights or fights in general? GGG was an Olympian, outstanding record, not your average prospect fighting 4-5 times a year.

If Abel admits he could’ve made GGG at 154, and they knew Canelo and Floyd were there, why didn’t they campaign at 154 and hope to be mandos in the orgs that Floyd and Canelo were in? Even if Floyd or Canelo wouldn’t fight them due to a mando, it would’ve been documented back in 2013 that GGG tried with the biggest names in boxing.

Instead Abel and GGG waited until 2017 to land a big fight.

So was Abel lying that they could make 154?

“For Floyd most definitely... Canelo hasn’t made 154 in years.” -Abel 2015

Truth is GGG was having a hard time making weight at 160, always. There’s no way they could fight at 154 or 155. 5lbs makes a big difference when you’re trying hard to make 160.

Logic tells you that the opportunities were there. Even if Floyd or Canelo were on a different network, Purse bids and mandos would change the course of the fighters due whatever reason, but at least GGG could’ve been at 154.

Imo, GGG and Abel simply lies about making 154. Unless it were against a scrub where GGG wouldn’t have to worry about performance
