In any case, things weren't going to go well for Nunez anyhow. Was the stoppage premature perhaps.

Then again Nunez was badly overmatched and didn't stand a chance; Especially in light of the recent ring tragedies we have all witnessed last week.

The referee probably erred on the side of caution. The important thing is Nunez will be able to go home to his family and live to fight another day.

Maybe I'm being too critical, but it's like he's saying, I saved the baby after they threw the baby in the fire.

        This

Nuñez was doing well in the 2nd. Problem he was caught and out standing falling slowly if at all. Davis is a killer, he could’ve unloaded some more shots and Nuñez wouldn’t have gotten up.

        Good stoppage

Harvey Dock is one of the top referees in the entire sport I think he 100% made the right call here.

Should have been a standing 8 count. But it wasn't the worst stoppage that we've ever seen.

If Nunez was Joshua they would have said he quit...

                Agree 100%

Nunez was holding his own in the round and got caught. But let the man have a chance to recover.

Nunez got caught twice and both times, his head snapped way back, eyes rolled and his hands momentarily dropped. Not to mention his entire body fell back against the ropes, holding him up. The stoppage was good.

Nunez got his ass whooped. Paulie is the only one complaining about the stoppage. Hey Paulie you quit to Sam Eggington!!!! You literally were outmanned and beaten into submission by Eggington you little ferret!!

Standing 8's are dumb. It's pretty simple, either the fighter is helpless or he's not.
