How do you see Gvozdyk vs Beterbiev playing out?

If this was 4 years ago Id say Beterbiev via ko but inactivity mixed with tomato can competition will have Gvozdyk cruise to a UD

F#ck idk. This is the next pick em-ish feeling fight I'm amped about. I think Beterbiev gots scary power. He can turn off your lights & erase the last 3 minutes of your life with ease. The Nail is a crafty mfer. I think this is gonna be a competitive one. I tend to think Beterbiev touches him sooner or later. How The Nail contends with that first KD or tense moment is gonna say a lot about how he'll end up doing in the fight & also how early it comes. If The Nail is dropped or wobbled in the first I think you can live wager on Beterbiev winning it. If The Nail can win rounds & gets touched in the 9th or something he might just have a rough go for a few rounds to eek out the W. I lean Beterbiev's way, but mainly I'm looking forward to this one whoever ends up winning.

Gvozdyk has better boxing skills but he has a relatively suspect chin.Expect a boxing lesson from gvozdyk with beterbiev being capable to end it at anytime with his world class power.Carbon copy to Wilder-Fury.Best fight of the year imo.

Yep. The Nail has momentum, something Beterbiev never had his entire career. Fighting nobodies and not very often can't be good so my initial pick was Gvozdyk. Then I switched to Beterbiev because his amateur pedigree is crazy.....

After all those years you guys still can't see that Beterbiev his highly skilled in his own style... Gvozdyk knows though... He will come around elusive and not wanting to exchange hoping for an opportunity... Beterbiev will take a shot to get inside and once he's there no one in the business has a better technique... No one in the business will destroy you like he does... A mixture of volume and astonishing short range power...

Gvozdyk is very good but I doubt he can sustain or endure a Beterbiev on his A game for very long... I believe no one at LHW can...

Artur by KO mid rounds... Time for that Gem to put all the pieces together before retiring...

If Beterbiev gets and is able to stay inside, Gvozdyk is done. You gotta keep a guy like Artur on the outside.

Beterbiev ***ed around for too long and hasn't faced real comp in years. His reflexes aren't as sharp anymore. He will be step behind a high level guy like Gvozdyk. Will get broken down over time, probably finished.
I thought Beterbiev was going to be the man at LHW but he just didn't get the right fights at the right time.

I can't wait to find out.
I'm thinking Gvozdyk right now, but I'm honestly not sure.

I thought Beterbiev was going to be the man at LHW but he just didn't get the right fights at the right time.
Story of this entire generation in boxing. I tried getting over it by getting excited about the new guys, Bivol, Gvozdyk, etc, especially at 175, but I'm getting disappointed all over again by watching old highlights of Beterbiev and Kovalev in their primes and realizing the new wave just isn't as special as they were. They have the skills but not the power of those guys. Those guys had everything. Same with GGG. I forgot just how special he was in his prime. Now it will never be known except by GGG diehard fans, and even we will always have to question if we weren't just being biased, because he never really got a chance to prove it. But if you have any eye for this sort of thing, the speed, power, strength, skill, and stamina combo was the best in the world. He was Dmitry Bivol before Bivol, but way stronger and more powerful, didnt get thrown around inside like Bivol by the likes of Joe Smith, or hurt with every punch that landed cleanly like Bivol.

So I feel like boxing is so corrupt and messed up, we're having to settle for getting excited by the younger B-level or A- level guys because boxing refused or failed to get the A+ guys real fights until they were too old and no longer A+ guys. Imagine if Kovalev, Beterbiev, and GGG, just those three, all got tons of top fights in their primes, what a special era of boxing we could have had, and we would have gotten a much clearer picture of boxing history as well. Instead maybe the best boxer punching trio in decades is going to be a footnote in boxing history while a bunch of A- or B-level guys are going to be remembered as greats in their stead, whether that's Gvozdyk and Bivol (still hoping they go on a great run, but don't think they're quite as good), Canelo for sure (sorry Canelo fans, but he struggled with a way past prime GGG so he in no way measures up to prime GGG or prime Beterbiev or prime Kovalev who were in their own ways either as good or at least almost as good as GGG), and so on.

At least Lomachenko is getting his due, but as good as he is, remember when GGG and Kovalev and beterbiev were prime, no one was even that excited for Lomachenko compared to them? That's how special those three were not just in terms of talent, but entertainment. Lomachenko is a better boxer than any of them but all three of them at their best, or at least GGG and Beterbiev, were probably just as difficult to beat, and even more exciting and offensively overpowering as he is. And at least Inoue is getting his due but he's in the lower weights, and I'm not sure he's technically as good as GGG. Inoue already got taken 12 rounds by a B-level guy as well.

It's just really disappointing like how can we get excited for top talents in this sport if this sport will continue to just waste them? And is there even any guarantee that anyone as good as those guys comes around for the next 20 years? The fact there were three that good that all came around just in a 5 year span would seem to suggest that the odds are good, but idk man. Those were special talents. They all came on the scene like 6-7 years ago, and still not a single one as good has emerged in that time. So if things can go 7 years without a single one, what about another 7? That's almost 15 years. Then we get to 20.

And even if more do come around, what if the same thing happens to their careers? Sigh.
